BIKiNNOV attends innovation show in Santa Maria da Feira
At the invitation of ANI – National Agency for Innovation, BIKiNNOV was present at TECH4INNOV – The Present and Future of Innovation, which took place on March 29 at Europarque in Santa Maria da Feira, bringing together around 500 participants and 60 exhibitors.
It was a technological showcase of R&D and Innovation results from National Innovation System (SNI) entities, involving debate panels with national and international guests and demonstration spaces, featuring success stories developed by CTI – Technology and Innovation Centers, COLAB – Collaborative Laboratories, TTO – Technology Transfer Offices, Test Beds, Digital INNOVATION HUBS and other entities in the ecosystem.
There was also a space where participants could interact with various companies in this sector, allowing them to have direct contact with available job offers and facilitating the creation of synergies between recruitment companies and the entities present, mapping the latter’s needs and identifying the talent available in the various sectors of technology and science.
This initiative is promoted within the scope of the Collective Action Support System – Transfer of Scientific and Technological Knowledge, TECH4INNOV, whose main objective is to promote technology and knowledge transfer activities.
Gil Nadais, Executive Director of BIKiNNOV, which currently operates at ABIMOTA’s premises in Águeda, pointed out that “the association is a Technology and Innovation Centre, recognized by ANI, which is taking its first steps, so we feel an added responsibility to be present at an event of this nature, where we share what is best done in Portugal in the area of innovation”. He added that “BIKiNNOV is a Technology and Innovation Center whose purpose is to provide technical and technological support to companies in the two-wheel sector, promoting the use of technology and innovation as tools for improving business competitiveness, increasing added value and qualifying the offer, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It is dedicated to the production, dissemination and transmission of business-oriented knowledge and the creation of economic value through the protection of industrial property rights, gearing its activities towards the needs of the market, seeking to fill existing gaps and contribute to the response to societal challenges in areas such as digitization, the circular economy, climate change and soft mobility.”
Base funding for the BIKiNNOV Technology and Innovation Center is part of the National Innovation Agency’s (ANI) Interface Mission, funded by the PRR – Recovery and Resilience Plan and the European Union’s Next Generation.
