BIKiNNOV promotes technological innovation with the presentation of the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
On March 20, BIKiNNOV – Bike Value Innovation Center Assocition organized an event to present the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), reinforcing its commitment to research, innovation and technological development in the two-wheel sector.
During the welcome session, Gil Nadais, BIKiNNOV’s Executive Director, pointed out that the center has been investing in cutting-edge technologies, which are fundamental to the sector’s evolution. He also stressed the support of institutions such as the National Innovation Agency (ANI) in this journey and expressed his intention to strengthen future collaborations with the Centro Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDRC), promoting projects that boost innovation and industrial competitiveness.
The session was also attended by representatives of key institutions in the innovation ecosystem. João Ferreira, from the National Innovation Agency (ANI), highlighted the importance of technological advances and innovation, stressing that the two-wheel sector has shown great potential for new sustainable solutions. He also emphasized the strategic collaboration with BIKiNNOV as an essential factor in strengthening the competitiveness of the national industry.
Jorge Brandão, from the Centro Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDRC), stressed the importance of knowledge transfer as a driving force for industrial development and innovation. He also highlighted the CCDRC’s role in monitoring BIKiNNOV’s initiatives, expressing an interest in future collaborations for projects that drive innovation and enhance the sector.
The event began with an institutional presentation, followed by a visit to the laboratory, where participants had the opportunity to see the infrastructure and equipment of the Technology and Innovation Center (CTI).
The highlight of the session was the practical demonstration of the SEM, allowing its capabilities in advanced materials analysis to be observed in real time. With this initiative, BIKiNNOV reaffirms its commitment to providing the industry with cutting-edge tools and knowledge, boosting technological development and the competitiveness of the two-wheel sector.
This event is part of Project 111 – AM2R Technology and Innovation Centre, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Programme (PRR) and the NextGenerationEU Funds, reinforcing BIKiNNOV’s role in promoting applied research and modernizing the sustainable mobility industry.
