INOVC+ is a strategic pilot project for the Central Region that consists of implementing and consolidating an Innovation Ecosystem for the Transfer of Knowledge and Technology which, in a networking context, enhances the valorization and transfer of knowledge and R&D+I results to the economy of the Central Region.
BIKiNNOV – Bike Value Innovation Center Association is one of the 23 INOVC+ co-promoting entities, which includes Higher Education Institutions, Interface Centers and Science and Technology Parks, and has the University of Coimbra as its Consortium leader.
Mission
To strengthen and consolidate the Innovation Ecosystem for Knowledge and Technology Transfer in the Central Region, which is open and inclusive, stimulating networking between them and incorporating a complete range of resources, infrastructures and dynamics, with cross-cutting and sectoral focus, thus contributing to the competitiveness and sustainability of the Central Region.
Vision
For the Centro Region to be a national benchmark with international projection in the creation of new products, services and sustainable technologies, resulting from Research, Development and Innovation activities.
Strategic Objectives:
- To expand, disseminate and publicize scientific and technological knowledge produced in the Central Region.
- To promote and accelerate changes in attitudes, values and behaviors that are more entrepreneurial and open, through collaboration in innovation projects, the use of new ideas and technologies, risk-taking and combating the stigma of failure.
- Promote an increase in the technological intensity of the region’s business fabric, particularly in terms of the green and digital transition, strengthening its connection to the SCTN;
- Promote, disseminate and encourage a culture of scientific and technological knowledge transfer in the region, generating knowledge and qualified employment;
- Improve the innovation performance of the Central Region, helping to improve its ranking in the European Union’s Regional Innovation Scoreboard.
