Promoting innovation through training in intermediary organizations

On June 21, BIKiNNOV – Bike Value Innovation Center – Association took part in the conference “Promoting Innovation through Capacity Building in Intermediary Organizations”, promoted by ANI – Agência Nacional de Inovação at the Creative Science Park – PCI, in Aveiro.

The main objective of the event was to exchange ideas and identify the main training needs of intermediary organizations in Portugal.
Together with MORE CoLAB, BIOREF – Laboratório Colaborativo (CoLAB), B2E Blue Bioeconomy CoLAB, INEGI and the University of Madeira, BIKiNNOV was part of the panel of speakers at the round table on the “Importance of Capacity Building for Intermediary Organizations”.

In its speech, BIKINNOV shared its vision of the main challenges and opportunities related to promoting the transfer of technology and knowledge between academic institutions and the private sector, namely companies, as well as the role of capacity building in supporting Portuguese Technological Infrastructures in technology and knowledge transfer processes.

He took stock of the impact of the training program promoted by ANI in defining the strategy and internal procedures of the Technology and Innovation Centre dedicated to the two-wheel sector, whose origins lie in industry.

The conference was promoted under the SIAC – Knowledge Transfer Initiative “TECH4INNOV”, an initiative co-financed by COMPETE 2020, through Portugal 2020 and the European Regional Development Fund.
BIKiNNOV was recognized by Order No. 12688/2022 of the Office of the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs as a Technology and Innovation Centre (CTI), as an entity dedicated to the production, dissemination and transmission of knowledge, oriented towards companies and the creation of economic value, contributing to the pursuit of public policy objectives, within the framework of the areas of specialization.As a result of this recognition, it secured the Core Funding Program for the Technology and Innovation Centre, the Interface Mission of the National Innovation Agency (ANI), funded by the Recovery and Resilience Program (PRR) and the NextGeneration Fund of the European Union (EU).
