Technology and Innovation Center for the Two-Wheeler Sector attends Eurobike 2023

BIKiNNOV – Bike Value Innovation Center – Association was present from June 21 to 23 at the EUROBIKE Show in Messe, Frankfurt (Germany) to show that Portugal has a Technology and Innovation Center dedicated to the two-wheel industry.

EUROBIKE is the world’s biggest event in the two-wheel sector and brings together companies from all over the world. Anyone who wants to learn about trends and developments in the sector should attend this event.

Germany, with around 5 million bicycles sold every year and an average price of over 1,395 euros, is the main European market and the venue for Eurobike, the world’s leading trade fair. With 140,000 square meters of exhibition space and 1,500 exhibitors, both inside and outside the Frankfurt fairgrounds, it is the place to do business and launch new models and products every year, with a record 200,000 visitors last year.

This fair is a great opportunity for companies in the 2-wheel sector to showcase their capabilities.

ABIMOTA participated with 17 member companies at Eurobike, Europe’s largest bicycle trade fair, with a stand covering 775 square meters, the largest ever representation of Portugal and Portugal Bike Value. The following companies were there: ABIMOTA, Bikap, BIKiNNOV, CicloFapril, CarbonTeam, EDM – Electronics and Tech Solutions, Incycles, Jasil, Lightmobie, Miranda, NDTuned, Sangal, Triangle’s, Rodi, Unibike, Polisport and FjBikes.

BIKiNNOV took advantage of its participation in this event to present its areas of activity, image and services in terms of compliance and innovation, which led to a number of contacts for the development of future projects.

Gil Nadais, BIKiNNOV’s Executive Director, said : “This was our first time at an international event, which is a world reference, so we were contained, presenting our institutional image and the services we are able to develop in the short term. The feedback we’ve received is very positive and the expectations for the Technology and Innovation Center are high.”

This trip, organized by ABIMOTA, is part of AM2R – Mobilizing Agenda for Business Innovation in the Two-Wheeler Sector, funded by the PRR – Recovery and Resilience Plan and the European Union’s Next Generation.

The strategic objective of the Innovation Agenda for the two-wheeler sector is to strengthen Portugal’s position in the two-wheeler and soft mobility industrial sector as a quality destination and, above all, an industrial ecosystem that is migrating from the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) concept to ODM (Original Design Manufacturing).
