Work progresses on the installation of BIKiNNOV in the AEA Pavilions
Work has begun on adapting pavilions 1, 2 and 3 of the Águeda Business Association (AEA) to house the facilities of the Technology and Innovation Center for the two-wheel sector, which is expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2024. This is an investment of around €550,000, financed under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and NextGeneration EU, as part of the Interface Mission – Core Financing Program.
The facilities are essential for starting up the Mobility Laboratory, which will be equipped with large-volume equipment for carrying out tests, such as the wind tunnel, tomographic camera, materials microscopy, among others.
Without these works, BIKiNNOV would not be able to meet the deadlines contracted with the National Agency for Innovation (ANI), the Intermediary Entity for the Core Funding of the Interface Mission, in terms of the Research, Development and Innovation activity in a laboratory context, of the Standards Watch, Materials Watch and Eco-efficient Industrial Processes projects.
It’s important to note that the BIKiNNOV board continues to make every effort to build a second space, which will be the headquarters of the Technology and Innovation Center, in the Casarão de Águeda Business Park.
